Dear Parishioners,
In following the recent directives of the Archbishop to cancel all Public Masses beginning today until April 14th, Holy Family will only be able to offer the following services on behalf of its parishioners and faithful:
There will be a Private Mass celebrated for the intentions of the parishioners every Wednesday thru Friday at 12 noon. As this is not open to public, parishioners are asked to join Fr. Rodel in offering this mass by praying the rosary at this time and the Act of Spiritual Communion. This is the prayer that St. Alphonsus of Ligouri put together: My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
For the weekend, we are going to provide a livestreaming of a Mass celebrated for the intentions of the parishioners. Currently we are working on a different way to bring Christ to the parishioners and we are going to let you know more about these when we have finalize the details.
The Church and Parish Offices will be closed except for essential business. We can be reached through the phone and email. If you have requests, questions or clarifications, please connect with Fr. Rodel. Unfortunately, this means we must cancel Friday Adoration.
Let us continue praying for one another on this challenging times. I invite you to pray this prayer called Oratio Imperata. Oratio Imperata (Latin, "Obligatory Prayer") is a set of Roman Catholic invocative prayers consisting of a liturgical action and a short, general prayer which the local ordinary or prelate of the church may publicly pray when a grave need or calamity occurs. “In praying, we invite ourselves with all our brothers and sisters suffering with the disease brought by the virus, bring up to God our longing for them to be restored to full health and humbly pray that we may be spared form infection of this virus.”
God our Father, We come to you in our need Grant us the grace To ask your protection against the 2019 N-Corona Virus, That has claimed lives And has affected many.
We pray for your grace For the people tasked with studying the nature and cause Of this virus and its disease And of stemming the tide of its transmission. Guide the hands and minds of medical experts That they may minister to the sick With competence and compassion, And of those governments and private agencies That must find cure and solution to this epidemic.
We pray for those afflicted May they be restored to health soon. To work for the good of all And to help those in need.
Grant this through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever. Amen.
Holy Family of Jesus., Mary and Joseph, Pray for us.
